Wynn Resorts to provide Riverwalk update to FoMR and community

On Monday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m., at Everett’s Parlin Library, Wynn Design & Development, represented by Assistant Project Director Kim Ripley and Wynn Resorts Manager of Development Jennifer Peterson, will present an update on the Riverwalk. The Riverwalk is a project currently underway at the old GE site in Everett. The project will feature walking paths, landscaping and other amenities along this very important and visible site along the banks of the Malden River.

The presentation is at the invitation of Friends of the Malden River (FoMR) and Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria. The development along the Malden River is being closely monitored by FoMR – a citizens’ group committed to drawing the Malden River back to vibrant, civic life through citizen engagement and input.

“The City of Everett is appreciative of the advocacy and voice the Friends of the Malden River have provided in making the River more accessible as a community amenity,” said Mayor De Maria. “The ongoing work along the River should benefit all members of the Everett community.”

According to Karen Buck of FoMR, “Developers and communities along the Malden River need to know what vision local residents have for a revitalized and possibly cleaned up River.”

All are invited to the monthly meeting of FoMR on December 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Parlin Library’s lower level meeting room. The meeting will begin with the presentation from Wynn Design & Development, which will be followed by a brief business meeting of FoMR. All are welcome to attend both the presentation and business meeting. For more information about the meeting or to learn more about FoMR, contact Karen Buck at friendsofthemaldenriver.@gmail.com.
