Mayor Gary Christenson was on hand as the Salemwood School accepted a generous donation from Cohen Baclawski, a very special three-year-old Malden resident who attends My Little Best Friends Early Learning Center in Malden. Cohen has a strong passion for recycling. For the past year with the help of his parents he has been saving the money from his recycling efforts for something special. When asked by his mother, Tasha, what he wanted to do with the money, he stated, “I want to help children.” Together, Cohen and his family decided to donate the money he raised to the Salemwood School to help with the lunch program.

The City of Malden along with the Salemwood community commended Cohen on his efforts and generous donation. Way to go, Cohen!
