Revere celebrated and commemorated Veterans Day with a few memorial ceremonies last Friday. RevereTV was at the McMackin Memorial Dedication and Korean Veterans Award Ceremony. You can now watch replays of these events playing on the RTV Community Channel. Thank you to all of our Revere veterans who sacrificed to serve our country.

Revere Police Sgt. Joe Internicola, who is vice-president of Mass Badge, was in the kitchen studio with Ward 4 Councillor Patrick Keefe to promote the upcoming annual community Thanksgiving dinner. This is happening on Tuesday, November 22 at Casa Lucia and is hosted by Mass Badge with support from many local sponsors. For more information about this event, you can watch the public service announcement playing in between programming on the RTV Community Channel.

November is literacy month! The Revere Public Library put on a reading event last Saturday in honor of First Family Literacy Day. Watch highlights from the event on RTV.

You can also find highlights from Jennifer Keefe’s last “From Scratch Baking Series” cooking class on the RevereTV Instagram page. Jen made a crunchy, fall fruit inspired cookie and even gave goody bags to the staff that night. Keep an eye out for the Revere Recreation seasonal flier for more chances to sign up for these classes, maybe in the winter.

RevereTV continues to cover any football games added to the schedule as the team prepares for Thanksgiving. You can watch replays of last Thursday’s game vs. Masconomet almost every day over the next week on the Community Channel. Recordings that are now posted as private on YouTube will become public on Thanksgiving Day. Tune in to RevereTV on Thanksgiving morning for live coverage of the annual game vs. Winthrop. Don’t forget about RHS Powderpuff, which is happening on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.! RTV will air that live as well.

You can watch RevereTV on television by subscribing to a local cable service. The Community Channel is channel 8/1072 on Comcast and 3/614 on RCN. If you do not have cable, you can view most RTV productions on YouTube. RTV GOV is where all city government meetings and city-hosted events play on television. This would be channel 9 on Comcast and 13/613 on RCN. This past week’s meetings include the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Meeting, Cultural Council, the Economic Development Sub-Committee, City Council and License Commission.
