Revere softball rolling at 13-4

Revere picked up three convincing wins out of four games over the past week to improve to 13-4.

Everett beat Revere, 16-9, despite the Patriots out-hitting them 11-8. Ally Straccia and Riley Straccia each collected three hits for Revere.

Ally Straccia collected three hits in four at-bats in the loss. Straccia hit a home run to center field in the second inning, doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Revere’s Lea Doucette grounded out, which helped Revere tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Revere took the lead in the bottom of the second. Ally Straccia homered to center field, scoring two runs, to give Revere the lead, 3-1.

Everett flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring nine runs on six hits to take a 10-3 lead.

Danni Hope Randall took the loss for Revere. The righty went seven innings, allowing 16 runs (seven earned) on eight hits, striking out six and walking 13.

Revere collected 11 hits in the game. Doucette drove the middle of the lineup, leading Revere with three runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Anna Doucette stole two bases.

Patriots blanked East Boston, 12-0.

Frankie Reed drove in four runs on three hits to lead Revere. Reed doubled in the fifth scoring two, singled in the second scoring one and singled in the fourth scoring one.

Revere got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Gianna Chiodi singled, scoring one run, Anna Doucette grounded out, scoring one run, Riley Straccia doubled, scoring two runs, Lea Doucette singled, scoring one run, and Reed singled, scoring one run.

Hope Randall earned the win and got a five-inning no-hitter for Revere, striking out six and walking one.

Revere amassed 10 hits in the game. The Doucettes and Luiza Santos each stole multiple bases for Revere. Revere stole eight bases in the game. Revere didn’t commit a single error.

Revere handled Chelsea, 27-1.

Reed drove in six runs, three hits and six RBI to lead Revere. Reed hit a home run to center field in the third, scoring three, singled in the fourth scoring one, walked in the fifth scoring one and singled in the fifth scoring one.

Hope Randall struck out 10 batters on the day. She also surrendered one hit and one run over five innings while walking nine.

Anna Doucette hit a solo home run to center field, Shayna Smith drew a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run in the third.

Revere scored seven runs on six hits in the top of the third inning. Santos hit a solo home run to left field, Randall homered to right field, scoring two runs, a steal of home scored one run, and Reed homered to center field, scoring three runs.

Revere scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Lea Doucette singled, scoring one run, Reed singled, scoring one run, Ally Straccia drew a walk, scoring one run, Chiodi singled, scoring one run, and Brianna Miranda drew a walk, scoring one run.

Revere accumulated 19 hits in the game. Lea Doucette went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Revere in hits. Anna Doucette was 3-for-3 and Randall went 2-for-5.

Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying 17 walks for the game. The Doucettes, Reed, Riley Straccia, Dakota Lanes and Lindsay Pineda each stole multiple bases for Revere. Revere ran wild on the base paths, tallying 19 stolen bases for the game. Revere turned one double play in the game. Revere didn’t commit a single error in the field. Smith had the most chances in the field with seven.

Revere this week beat Malden, 16-7

Jordan Martelli drove in six runs on three hits to lead Revere past Malden. She tripled in the first scoring three, doubled in the third scoring two, and singled in the sixth scoring one.

Hope Randall earned the win for Revere. She surrendered zero hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out eight and walking six. Chiodi collected the save.

Revere collected 10 hits in the game. Martelli and Reed each collected three hits for Revere. Revere had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 11 walks for the game. Joyce and Santos led the team with three bases on balls each. Joyce, Santos and Reed each stole multiple bases for Revere. Revere stole 13 bases in the game. Revere turned one double play in the game.

 

Revere girls tennis picks up two wins

Revere improved to 4-5 with wins over the Lynns.

Revere won 4-1 against Lynn English on Monday, May 13.

At first singles, Dayna Phan lost, 6-4, 6-4. At second singles, Jaimy Gomez won 6-4, 6-4. It was a long hard-fought win, according to Revere coach Carla Maniscalco.

At third singles, Lesly Calderon Lopez won, 6-2, 6-2.

At first doubles, Cesia Loza and Keila Loza won, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 (a nice comeback). At second doubles Erta Ishmahili and Ivana Nguyen won, 6-2, 6-2

Revere won 3-2 against Lynn Classical on Tuesday, May 14.

At first singles Dayna Phan lost, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.

At second singles, Gomez won, 6-3, 7-6.

At third singles, Calderon Lopez won, 6-1, 7-5.

At first doubles, Loza and Rachel Sanchez lost, 6-0, 6-3.

At second doubles, Erta Ishmahili and Keila Loza won, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 (nice comeback).

 

Revere boys lacrosse falls to Haverhill

Haverhill beat Revere, 19-0. “The Patriots played their hearts out,” Revere coach Jordan DeBarros said.

Patriots senior captain midfielder Guillermo Menjivar, senior captain attackman Walid Harda and freshmen attackman Matthew Leone all put shots on net. Freshman Goalie Guilherme Andrade made 18 saves.

 

Revere volleyball blanks Everett

Revere blanked Everett, 3-0.

Larry Claudio had 21 assists. Ruben Rodriguez added 15 kills.

 

Revere gets past Everett on diamond

Revere improved to 7-7 after a 7-2 win over Everett.

Senior Ollie Svendsen fired a complete game, eight-strikeout performance and allowed no earned runs.

Domenic Bellia (two), Seth Sullivan, Kyle Cummings, Joseph Angiulo and Frankie Annunziata each had RBI.
