Evelyn Frances Geotis

1
Of Saugus made her transition on April 27, 2022, at the age of 92 years old surrounded by loved ones. Evelyn was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Evelyn was born in Bangor, ME. After graduating from high school she moved to Boston to attend design school where she met her husband Spiros G. Geotis of Arlington MA. Evelyn and Spiros moved to Saugus, MA where they built a steadfast home and begin their family. That home created lasting memories and family traditions that will continue to live on for generations.
Evelyn had an incredibly giving spirit to those around her, a spunky attitude, and her spitfire personality was infectious. Evelyn loved spending time riding her bike around town, visiting neighbors, cooking and baking. She spent her younger years as a dressmaker and worked as a seamstress in a local shop. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and gardening. I think everyone she met eventually received one of her special Afghan’s. If you ever make your way to the Saugus Library, you may stumble across some of the books she donated.
Evelyn leaves behind her son Paul, Phil and his wife Barbara, Her grandchildren Melissa and wife Shawnette, Stacey, Kevin, Jennifer, Adam, Nicholas, Taylor & Alec and her great grandchildren Katelyn, Sophia and Kai. Her late husband Spiros Geotis and mother of the late Karen Staples and George Geotis.
