Of Saugus. Died on Thursday November 23rd at the age of 76. He was the husband of the late Janetan (Dumas) Doherty. Born in Boston, Mr. Doherty was the son of the late James and Margaret (Driscoll) Doherty. He was a former electrical engineer for Altec and was also a former professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Ken was also a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.
Mr. Doherty is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother James Doherty and his sister Barbara Doherty.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend an hour of visitation in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, Saugus on Wednesday, November 30 followed by a funeral mass in Blessed Sacrament Church, Saugus. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s name may be made to the New England Center and Home for Veterans at necvh.org.
