Of Saugus, formerly of Everett and Malden. Age 75, died on Monday, November 27th at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late Stanley C. Coolen, Jr.
Born and raised in Orsogna, Italy, Nicky was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Leonina (Scenna) Tenaglia. She came to live in the United States in 1957 first living in Everett and Malden before moving to Saugus in 1971. Nicky spent her career as an Executive Assistant and retired from Fidelity Investments. Nicky loved to entertain and was known for her cooking. She loved gardening, spending summers in Maine and playing cards with her friends.
Nicky is survived by her three daughters, Kristen Coolen of Amesbury, Lisa O’Brien and her husband Sean of Quincy and Lora Sciacca and her husband John of Sandown, NH; three grandchildren, Ryan, Gina and Owen. She was predeceased by her brother, Vincent Tenaglia and her sister, Maria Ferretti.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus on Sunday December 3 from 2 -5 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nicoletta’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
