Richard W. “Dick” Denham

  Age 83, died on Tuesday, April 26 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the former husband of Joan M. (Legere) Denham of Lynn.

Born and raised in Saugus, Mr. Denham was the son of the late Irving and Ellen (Spence) Denham. He was employed as a cost accountant for Bank of Boston for 30 years. He was also a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran.
A resident of Lynn since 1970, Dick enjoyed hunting and fishing and was the former secretary/treasurer of the Lynn Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed gardening and playing horseshoes. He was also an avid golfer, tennis player and played hockey until the age of 79.
Mr. Denham is survived by his three sons, Richard Denham, Jr. and his wife Christine of Swampscott, Brian Denham and his wife Joelle of Wakefield, and William Denham and his life partner Erika Hofmann of Wakefield; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister Judy Murray of ME. He was predeceased by his partner of 15 years, Ruth White and two sisters, Joan Roy and Pat Stires.
