Saugus Sachems Girls’ Basketball Team sinks Gloucester at home, 57-34

  The Saugus High School Sachems Girls’ Basketball Team handily defeated the Fishermen of Gloucester High School last Tuesday night at home. The strong offensive team play of the Lady Sachems – with double coverage outside the paint – overcame a very tough Gloucester defense. Saugus played tough under the boards, claiming many rebounds, and blocked several shots by the Fishermen, keeping them on the short end of the scoreboard. In the end the Sachems powered past them and won by 23 points.
